Herschend is seeking an experienced and friendly Banquet Server/Bartender to provide service for banquet operations for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while simultaneously ensuring the success & profitability of banquets and catering at the hotel.

The Banquets Server/Bartender position provides a unique opportunity for the right individual to provide banquets service for Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton’s Museum. The position is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of the brand experience and achieving financial targets and related business KPI’s in banquets and catering.

The Banquet

Server/Bartender will focus on banquets and catering operations consisting of, but not limited to, daytime meetings, receptions, and plated events. To achieve success in this role, one must drive results while adhering to our Heartspitality® culture. This position requires providing quick, friendly banquet service and an excellent dining experience for our guests through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks with Banquets Captain for daily objectives
  • Familiarize with BEO’s in planning for shifts
  • Set up coffee breaks, meal service, buffets, bar service, and labels according to BC
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, proper supply levels
  • Coordinate food pick up timing with kitchen
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
  • Execute banquet service standards as planned
  • Proper breakdown and storage of supplies concluding function
  • Participate in daily line ups

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • One (1) year of foods/banquet service experience
  • Must be able to obtain Serve Safe certification within first 30 days
  • Tennessee Alcohol Board Commission (TABC) Certification, Required
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check
