Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our customers while showcasing your skills in food preparation and cash handling.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions accurately, and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, take orders, and recommend menu items based on preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.
  • Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and sales tracking.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting is beneficial.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is a plus.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to beverage preparation and customer service.
