ProHealth Physicians is a physician-led medical group with 85 practice locations throughout Connecticut serving more than 10% of the state's residents. We empower physicians and advanced clinicians to better serve patients through enhanced care processes in support of improved patient outcomes. Formed in 1997, ProHealth Physicians has grown to include more than 350 primary care and specialty clinicians and offers select specialty and diagnostic/therapeutic services. The Central Indexer is responsible for maintaining patients' health records, results/outcomes, and medical history. Main duties include filing patient information in the electronic health record, and maintaining patient documents within the appropriate folders and databases supporting our practice care teams and providers. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 3 Farm Glen Blvd, Farmington, CT 06032 We offer 90 days of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be 8:30am - 5:00pm. Training will be conducted onsite. • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Primary Responsibilities: • Index patient documents into Medical Records for all practice sites • Indexing/filing into patient charts such documents as progress notes, lab reports, mail, etc. • Indexing/filing patient charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Maintain knowledge of current OSHA regulations, practice policies, and standard workflows • Assist coworkers as possible to assure smooth practice operation and delivery of excellent services through teamwork • Support Central Services operations as assigned You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma / GED • Must be 18 years of age OR older • 1 years of healthcare experience (administrative or medical records) • Basic computer knowledge and Windows PC applications • Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of medical terminology Telecommuting Requirements: • Reside within Farmington, CT • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service. Soft Skills: • Ability to Multi-task • Team player • Strong communication skills Connecticut Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.00 - $28.27 per hour.
