Civil Engineer (Entry-Level / Recent Graduates Welcome)

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, with increasing independence as your skills grow
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support project design decisions
  • Assist in preparing site plans, reports, and permit documentation
  • Use tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrologic modeling software to solve design challenges related to grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater
  • Work closely with drafters to translate concepts into detailed technical drawings
  • Research applicable codes, standards, and design options, and summarize findings clearly
  • Support project managers with task tracking, budgeting, and coordination
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and actively incorporate feedback into your work
  • Take on increasing responsibility and ownership of design tasks as you develop professionally

What We’re Looking For

✅ Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Open to recent graduates and candidates with 0–3 years of experience
  • Exposure to land development or site development is a plus, but not required

✅ Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • Understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design
  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and apply engineering principles

✅ Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • FE Exam passed or EIT certification
  • Experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, or similar tools
  • Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure

Work Environment

This hybrid role is based out of our Plainville or Poughkeepsie office, where you’ll collaborate with engineers, drafters, and project managers in a professional, team-oriented setting. You’ll spend time working with advanced design software while contributing to projects that shape communities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainville, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.65 - $40.00/hr.
