About the position

We are seeking an experienced EMR Integration Healthcare Consultant to support healthcare IT systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), Laboratory Information Systems, PACS, and Pharmacy systems. This role involves implementation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of healthcare applications and related interfaces to ensure seamless clinical and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation activities including build, testing, and go-live of healthcare systems (EHR, Lab, PACS, Pharmacy)
  • Maintain healthcare IT infrastructure including applications, databases, templates, and reporting tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EMR-related issues, including triage, escalation, and root cause analysis
  • Support system integrations and ensure smooth data flow across healthcare platforms
  • Develop and generate reports for business and clinical users
  • Document current workflows and processes for medical and mental healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with vendors, clinical teams, and technical stakeholders for system enhancements and support

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems (preferably NextGen)
  • 7+ years of experience with Mirth Connect (Lab Systems / Integration Engine)
  • 7+ Years of Experience EMR Integration
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting, system support, and healthcare IT environments
  • Experience working directly for a State Government Agency
  • 7+ Years of Experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
  • Candidate must be a current resident of SC, NC, or GA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
