<p><strong>NTU International A/S </strong>is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called:<strong> Energy access and resilience initiative for Northern Uganda </strong>and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.</p><p><br></p><p>The <strong>overall objective</strong> of this assignment is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all in Northern Uganda, with a focus on vulnerable groups, productive use of energy and rural communities, in line with the Uganda's Vision 2040 and the NationalElectrification Strategy.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Gulu, with fieldwork in key districts across Northern Uganda.</p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: The indicative start date is <strong>15 October 2025</strong> and the period of implementation of the specific contract will be <strong>365 days</strong> from this date. Indicative end date: <strong>14 October 2026</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Gender Specialist</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>☝️ Qualifications and skills:</em></strong></p><ul><li>BA in social science, international development or related relevant field (<strong>minimum</strong>).</li><li>A Master’s degree or higher in gender studies, social science, international development or related relevant field <strong>would be preferable</strong>.</li><li>Fluency in oral and written English.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>☝️ General professional experience:</em></strong></p><ul><li>At least 6 years of experience in genderrelated issues in international development or humanitarian contexts.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>☝️ Specific professional experience:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Must have conducted gender analysis and developed related gender responsive project frameworks in various sectors and have an excellent knowledge of the country.</li><li>Specific experience in the energy or infrastructure sector <strong>would be advantageous</strong>.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply and upload your CV via LinkedIn or sent to recruitment@ntu.eu.
