Role and Responsibilities

Small community looking for a versatile team player who is not afraid to get dirty yet maintains a safe, clean, and organized workspace. A hands-on person who takes pride in their work, doing it right the first time. Capable of performing lab testing, generating reports, and maintaining a filing system. Position requires "after-hours" and "on-call" situations.

  • Performs daily testing and sample collections.
  • Changing, recording, reading, and understanding charts and meters.
  • Preventive, routine maintenance and cleaning of tanks, pumps, facilities, and all town equipment.
  • Snow removal, leaf pick up, and maintenance of streets.
  • Mowing and grounds upkeep for all Town properties.
  • Assist in water, wastewater, and stormwater system repairs and construction.
  • Locating utilities and assisting other utility companies.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, and exerts up to 80 pounds. Ability to lift to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • All other duties assigned by the Utility Manager, Certified Operators, or Property Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must have a valid Driver's License, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and pass a post-employment offer drug screening—experience operating a variety of tools and equipment.

Other Information

40-hour work week with paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, and clothing allowances. The Town of Sunman pays 100% of employees' medical, dental, and vision premiums and 80% of family member(s).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30, $34,944.00 per year
