We are looking for an experienced Github Administrator that can help guide us through the transition as we dramatically scale up our userbase and repository count with migrations from other platforms. This role involves hands-on responsibility for scaling access, maintaining standards, and supporting large-scale repository migrations. You'll be instrumental in establishing how we use core GitHub features-like Actions, Copilot, and Advanced Security-across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set meaningful Github management patterns to minimize active management
  • Support the import of several hundred repositories from GitLab and Azure DevOps
  • Manage user access, permissions, and team structures with precision
  • Help set standards for GitHub Actions usage, including runner management and workflow controls
  • Support GitHub Copilot adoption through policy, onboarding, and monitoring
  • Configure and maintain GitHub Advanced Security (secret scanning, code scanning, Dependabot alerts)
  • Develop a strategy to handle tokens, secrets, and third-party integrations securely and consistently.
  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to align on best practices
  • Manage integration with and understand extensively other involved platforms, like Okta and AWS


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience administering GitHub Enterprise for large organizations
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Advanced Security, API, CLI, and general Git workflows
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with a deliberate and structured approach to solving infrastructure problems
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communication that effectively reaches cross functional partners


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience with github migrations is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps in conjunction with GitHub
  • Pilot or aviation enthusiast

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $90-130,000.

This position is currently part of Boeing but is planned to transition to an independent company owned by Thoma Bravo, as part of a pending divestiture of the Digital Aviation Solutions organization. If you are selected for this role, your employment may initially be with Boeing (dependent on start date). Subject to final regulatory approvals and closing conditions, your employment may transfer to the divested business owned by Thoma Bravo at close. Additional details about this transition will be shared as they become available.
