<p><b>General program information and/or position overview. </b>The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Global Trade Manager, either remote or working from our Reston, VA office. This role provides day-to-day trade compliance support to the Digital Modernization and Defense Sectors. It is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting all export and import compliance activities within the Sector portfolio of contracts. The selected candidate will report to the Director, Global Trade Management.</p><p></p><p>This position requires daily interaction with Leidos management, contracts, engineering, and proposal staff, as well as external customers. he ability to independently manage a high volume of complex work while maintaining a high level of customer service and collaboration is essential.</p><p><i>  </i></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Serve as focal point, providing direction, input, and guidance to programs and employees related to Global Trade (including ITAR, EAR, OFAC and U.S. Customs regulations).</li><li>Draft Department of State export licenses and technical assistance agreements, as well as process ITAR exemption requests.</li><li>Draft Department of Commerce export license applications and process EAR exception requests</li><li>Manage export and import authorization records in Leidos’ records system</li><li>Review International Business Review Board (IBRB) routings for trade compliance</li><li>Conduct global trade training for internal stakeholders</li><li>Review and adjudicate requests for foreign travel and visitors.</li><li>Conduct restricted party screenings</li><li>Review and adjudicate documentation for export-controlled information</li><li>Review and adjudicate international shipments</li><li>Prepare weekly and monthly reports</li><li>Perform projects and other duties as assigned or required to support Global Trade objectives</li><li></li></ul><p><b>Basic Qualifications. </b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in export / import compliance.  Additional work experience may be substituted for a degree.</li><li>Proficiency with Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations</li><li>Experience with trade compliance tools, e.g., screening</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation, data, and filings</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory requirements</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers/regulators</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment when assessing compliance risk and recommending solutions</li><li>High level of integrity and ethics, with a strong commitment to compliance and doing the right thing</li><li>Active or ability to obtain a Secret security clearance</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>If youre looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
