<strong>Overview<br><br></strong>This is a provisional appointment.<br><br><strong>Brief Job Description (essential Functions Of The Job)<br><br></strong>Under general supervision, interprets policies, rules, and regulations.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Receives requests, instructions, or information pertaining to all aspects of the Permit Application Payment Process for Inspectional Services. </li><li> Investigates reconciliation records, payment files, and other information resources to obtain necessary information for any requested reports. </li><li> Classifies information according to office procedures. </li><li> Transfers and posts information to records. </li><li> Sends, routes, and relays forms, materials, and information. </li><li> Maintains files, filing, typing of forms, memos, letters, and other materials. </li><li> Processes forms, checking them for accuracy and completeness. </li><li> Answers and places telephone calls. Gives information to the general public. </li><li> Performs related work as required. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Entrance Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Applicant must have at least three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, office experience in an administrative position. </li><li> Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on details as required by the job. </li><li> Familiarity with the payment of the permit applicant process and Permit Counter preferred. </li><li> Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. </li><li> A multi-lingual candidate is preferred. </li><li> Applicants meeting the minimum entrance qualifications will be considered for this position. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Boston Residency Required.<br><br></strong><strong> Terms: <br><br></strong>U nion/Salary Plan/Grade: AFSCME/RA-12<br><br>Hours per week: 35
