<strong>Summary<br><br></strong>We are looking for amazing lead teachers! The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English, has fantastic classroom management, and LOVES children! A degree in Early Childhood is required, with a minimum Career Level 4 on the Georgia PDS. ** Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and be local to the Atlanta metro area **<br><br><strong>General Description<br><br></strong><ul><li>Responsible for planning and implementing instruction and assessing child growth and development in the classroom in accordance with Bright from the Start, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, NAEYC and the LLIP policies, goals, objectives, mission and values. </li><li>Responsible for supervision of Assistant Teacher.</li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English<br><br></li></ul><strong>Duties<br><br></strong>We are looking for individuals who are interested in a career with our company and someone that is passionate and dedicated to the job of working with children. We are seeking an experienced and energetic lead teacher. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. You must have a degree in Early Childhood and speak Spanish for this position. Competitive pay depends on experience and credentials.<br><br><strong>Examples Of Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Facilitate learning opportunities for children in the Spanish Language.</li><li>Attends to custodial needs of children. (Diaper changing, assisting with toileting, etc.)</li><li>Plans and implements developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.</li><li>Makes adaptations in the program and teaching style to meet the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, special needs and talents, and individual style and pace of learning</li><li>Assists and interacts with individual children or small groups of children involved in activities</li><li>Assures physical safety of children during program activities</li><li>Maintains a clean and healthy environment by following sanitation procedures</li><li>Trains classroom staff and supervises their teaching methods</li><li>Consults with teachers from other programs.</li><li>Consults with parents regarding children's progress through parent conferences.</li><li>Plans and implements one staff training meeting each school year, and attends all staff and parent meetings.</li><li>Responsible for orderly room arrangement and classroom environment, to include classroom housekeeping responsibilities.*(Toy sanitation, sweeping floors, cleaning furniture, etc.)</li><li>Attends all training as required for professional growth and development both during and outside of normal center operating hours.</li><li>Distributes weekly or monthly newsletters to the parents.</li><li>Completes individual portfolios on children for future planning and to assess their progress.</li><li>Assists with and attends public relations, recruitment and family events sponsored by the school both during and outside normal center hours of operation.</li><li>Prepares and submits all required reports in a timely manner.</li><li>Treats children with respect and dignity especially in regard to their cultural and socioeconomic background.</li><li>Effectively communicates with parents.</li><li>Observe and document each child's development in daily reports, portfolios, team meetings, progress reports.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><strong>Job Requirements and Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must meet current Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning Lead Teacher Credential requirement</li><li>Degree and previous experience in ECE or related field</li><li>Fluent in Spanish </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of child development</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and noisy conditions and respond to numerous needs at once</li><li>Able to handle exposure to bites, scratches, kicks and hitting from children</li><li>Able to lift children of varying weights as needed; greater frequency for infants/toddlers<br><br></li></ul><strong>Nice To Haves<br><br></strong>Active PDS ready to submit<br><br>CPR/First Aid<br><br><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong>Health insurance<br><br>401k<br><br>Meals<br><br>Childcare subsidies
