Job Title: Jr. Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, including collections, utilizing Excel and ERP systems, and providing excellent customer service to vendors and clients through email and phone communications.

Responsibilities

  • Come up with ways to make accounting processes more streamlined and efficient.
  • Produce and analyze financial data.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner using Excel and ERP systems.
  • Respond to and manage emails related to accounting inquiries, discrepancies, and payment information.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Answer phone calls from vendors and customers, providing information and resolving issues.
  • Follow up on payment information with vendors and customers to ensure timely processing.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting and Microsoft Office.
  • Expertise in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, tables, graphs, and formulas.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, NetSuite, or PeopleSoft.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in AP, AR, and Collections.
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Experience with purchase orders, reconciliation, invoicing, general ledger, and journal entry.
  • Competence in QuickBooks, Salesforce, and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional growth.

Work Environment

This role requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Controller and play a key role across multiple areas of the business. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
