This role requires flexibility, as the <strong>Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse - Corporate </strong>will adapt to different environments while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies. The <strong>Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse - Corporate</strong> will work closely with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care and contribute to a safe and effective healthcare environment.<br><br>How YOU can Make an Impact :<br><br><ul><li> Provide direct patient care including assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed treatments and medications as directed by the physician. </li><li> Conduct initial medical screenings upon entry into the facility and provide ongoing care throughout the patient’s stay. </li><li> Assist with sick call assessments, responding to patient health complaints, and providing appropriate care or referrals. </li><li> Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care as necessary. </li><li> Monitor and document patient progress, making recommendations to the physician for modifications in treatment when necessary. </li><li> Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and healthcare standards. </li><li> Ensure that all medical treatments, procedures, and interventions are in compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations. </li><li> Administer medications, document patient reactions, and ensure proper handling and storage of medications according to established protocols. </li><li> Work closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and correctional staff to ensure effective coordination of patient care. </li><li> Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external providers to ensure the continuity of care and address any concerns. </li><li> Educate patients and facility staff on basic health and wellness topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and health maintenance. </li><li> Serve as a key support resource for nursing staff across various facility locations, providing guidance and leadership during shifts in the absence of senior nursing staff. </li><li> Collaborate with site leadership and other nursing team members to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery in both routine and emergency situations. </li><li> Educate and train new or less experienced nursing staff, providing hands-on support and reinforcing clinical protocols and best practices. </li><li> Coordinate with facility leadership to ensure staff compliance with training requirements, including conducting or assisting with safety and medical-related training sessions. </li><li> Ensure the medical unit is well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment and that it remains organized and clean. </li><li> Report any issues with medical equipment or facilities to the appropriate personnel to ensure continuous operation. </li><li> Work flexible shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays) to meet the site-specific needs and ensure coverage across multiple locations. </li><li> Perform other related duties as assigned. <br><br><br></li></ul>What we Ask of YOU:<br><br><ul><li>CORRECTIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED </li><li> A current, valid state(s) licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to practice in applicable role (i.e. CMA, LPN, RN, LMHP, etc.). </li><li> A High School diploma or GED is required. </li><li> An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required. </li><li> 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment. </li><li> Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred. </li><li> Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the correctional setting is an advantage. </li><li> Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment.
