This position oversees engineering teams, driving the development, enhancement, and strategic direction of digital products to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions for our entertainment clients.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Core Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Oversee the end-to-end software development process, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.</li><li>Provide functional and technical leadership to the engineering team, guiding them in designing and building software solutions.</li><li>Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, support, and direction to facilitate their professional growth and success.</li><li>Collaborate with Product and Business teams to design, influence, and implement new product features and project requests.</li><li>Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging creativity, open communication, and knowledge sharing among team members.</li><li>Plan and prioritize software development projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.</li><li>Implement best practices related to software development, testing, and building software in a continuous integration environment.</li><li>Continuously improve SDLC processes, including comprehensive code reviews and automation.</li><li>Implement agile methodologies and practices to enhance productivity and collaboration within the software engineering teams.</li><li>Implement monitoring and feedback mechanisms to identify and resolve issues proactively.</li><li>Recommend new software development technologies, tools, and standards to improve efficiency and productivity within the team.</li><li>Ensure that software products meet the highest security standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and data protection requirements.</li><li>Communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges to senior management and stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development initiatives.</li><li>Foster a collaborative environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing among engineering teams and cross-functional departments.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>5+ years in software engineering, demonstrating strong technical expertise in software development, including hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.</li><li>Previous experience managing and mentoring software engineering teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.</li><li>Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</li><li>A passion for innovation, continuous learning, and keeping up with emerging technologies and industry trends.</li><li>Solid experience in troubleshooting and debugging is critical.</li><li>Solid experience designing and building large, multi-tenant web based and/or client server applications in Cloud Environment (AWS, Azure)</li><li>Solid experience in event driven design paradigm using applications (Kafka, SQS, SNS etc.)</li><li>Comfortable with the core skill set centered around the following: Typescript, Node, JavaScript, and some .NET as a bonus. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year.
