About the Role

We are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Marketing and Social Media Specialist to support the firm’s marketing efforts and help elevate our visibility across social media and community-facing platforms. This role will assist with posting campaigns, creating and scheduling content, photographing firm events or outreach efforts, editing captions, and supporting light tabling or marketing activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to create polished, professional content that aligns with the firm’s brand, voice, and mission. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys social media, content creation, storytelling, and helping a growing organization maintain a strong and consistent public presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post approved marketing campaigns across social media platforms
  • Create, edit, and schedule social media posts and campaign content
  • Draft, edit, and refine captions to align with the firm’s voice and brand
  • Take photos and gather content at firm events, outreach opportunities, tabling events, and community activities
  • Assist with light tabling, outreach, and promotional events as needed
  • Support grassroots marketing and community outreach initiatives, including local campaign promotion, neighborhood engagement, and relationship-building efforts across the Chicagoland area
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and firm initiatives
  • Help maintain a consistent, professional, and engaging online presence
  • Monitor social media activity, engagement, and basic performance metrics
  • Coordinate with internal team members to gather content, updates, and campaign materials
  • Assist with basic graphic design or content creation using tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and brand consistency at all times
  • Support general marketing, administrative, and operational tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in social media, marketing, content creation, communications, or a related role preferred
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar platforms
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to draft captions and content that are professional, engaging, and brand-appropriate
  • Comfortable taking photos and gathering visual content at events or office activities
  • Basic graphic design or content editing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, or social media scheduling tools preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and content needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, creative, and receptive to feedback
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, leadership, and staff
  • Interest in legal services, community outreach, or brand-building preferred
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Standard business hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional flexibility may be needed for firm events, outreach opportunities, or tabling activities
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience
