About us

Accounts101, LLC is a remote accounting firm located in Pearland Texas. Our team is comprised of CPAs, certified bookkeepers and interns. We help small to mid-sized businesses take back control of their accounting while providing support and education to enable them to act independently but never alone. We are engaging, fun, inclusive and our goal is to hire an individual who is capable of working independently while supporting the members of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, review and enter financial data received through bank feeds and other sources.
  • Create reports, charts and analysis as needed.
  • Prepare and process monthly financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and associated schedules.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and match to incoming bills.
  • Process accounts payable using a variety of tools (Bill.com, Intuit, Melio).
  • Prepare Estimates for Customers.
  • Prepare invoices using estimates and other source documents as well as handle some collections.
  • Process payroll (Paychex, ADP, QuickBooks, Gusto). Including reviewing/approving timesheets.
  • Report workers comp data to provider and process 401k contributions.
  • Conduct research on accounting issues (e.g. outstanding A/P & A/R).
  • Assist with client onboarding (Accounting system setup/cleanup, COA setup/cleanup, categorization modifications, conversions to/from QuickBooks).
  • Assist in annual tax preparations (e.g. filing 1099's and w4's).
  • Handle multiple clients in a variety of industries

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
