Job Description

City Center has an exciting Customer Service opportunity as Patrol Officer. In this position, you may be required to respond and assist security personnel in emergency and non- emergency events. As a Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring multiple security systems to aid in the safety and security of all tenants, residents, employees, guests, visitors, vendors, and properties. You will be required to monitor, allow access, create access control badges, and conduct audits. In addition, you will be required to detect unfavorable situations, dispatch security officers, and make proper notifications to the appropriate level of management.

Available shifts include:

  • Full Time: Wednesday through Sunday 3:00pm to 11:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day security operations and the generation of daily and incident reports.
  • Support to the Property Management, Facilities and Parking team as needed.
  • Support to the Property Management team with variance reporting and accounting theory as needed.
  • This position offers the opportunity to grow and expand your role as the company dynamics change.
  • Other Company designated duties.
  • Meeting the physical requirements of the job and the ability to work in the environmental conditions listed below to perform common security functions and duties.
  • Conduct video reviews and investigations.
  • Monitor and operate security systems to include intrusion detection, fire alarm, access control, environmental alarms, and CCTV systems.
  • Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations.
  • Managing extensive inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner and with a Customer Service attitude.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports on the security reporting system to document the activities that occur during each shift.
  • Actively learn and become proficient at responding to all emergency events including Medical Emergencies, Severe Weather, Active Shooter, Fire Events, Suspicious Persons/Vehicle and Suspicious Packages)
  • Identify, develop, implement, and maintain Company security processes and asset protection standards across all business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with tenants, residents, employees, guests, visitors, vendors, contractors, and team members.
  • Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about outside during patrols.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity software needed to review video.
  • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.

Professional Requirements

  • Customer Service experience or friendly demeanor
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Security experience a plus but willing to train

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and software including email and web-based applications.
  • Strong writing skills and an ability to project a professional and consistent demeanor.
  • Maintain confidentiality about company information.
  • Ability to recognize and report suspicious behavior and activity in and around company property.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members, vendors, and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance and to write and investigate required reports.
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Security experience a plus
