Leading the product vision, strategy and execution for our Public Sector vertical to deliver impactful outcomes. Operating at the crossroads of customer challenges, product solutions, compliance, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring solutions meet regulations while supporting essential workloads.</p><p>As a Senior Director Product Management, you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li><span>Defining and executing the product vision and strategy for our PubSec cloud offerings, existing products, and new development for State, Local, and Education, Federal Civilian, Department of Defense and international frameworks</span></li><li>Increasing revenue growth by leading execution across teams, collaborating with engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales to meet roadmap objectives.</li><li>Leading and scaling the product management function, operating both strategically and tactically, with opportunity for long-term business ownership</li><li>Establishing customer and business centric KPIs, building business cases, and driving product performance, adoption, and customer impact.</li><li>Partnering directly with sales and customers (including travel) to support go-to-market efforts and solution positioning.</li></ul><p><strong>Do what you love</strong></p><p>To be successful in this role you will:</p><ul><li>Have 15 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field</li><li>Be experienced with defining and executing product strategies for the US Public Sector, including vision setting, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution.</li><li>Have proven ability of building, scaling, and monetizing product lines, including measurable revenue growth and organizational impact.</li><li>Have led product management efforts within the US public sector, focused on cloud infrastructure and security.</li><li>Enjoy operating in a matrixed organization aligning stakeholders through clear communication, collaboration, and influential leadership.</li><li>Have experience managing and mentoring individual contributors, with the ability to grow and scale a team over time.</li><li>Be customer-centric, applying a problem-solving mindset to situations and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.</li><li><p>U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance (interim Secret considered) or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.</p><p> </p></li></ul><p><strong>Work in a way that works for you</strong></p><p>FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. The base salary for this position ranges from $190,700 - $343,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
