This role is responsible for verifying configurations, managing vendor communications, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve network-related issues. The Tier 2 Administrator plays a key role in ensuring network reliability and performance while escalating complex issues to Tier 3 or Tier 4 staff as needed.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assist in network assessments and documentation of requirements </li><li>Verify network hardware/software configurations against approved standards </li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices </li><li>Monitor network performance and escalate anomalies to Tier 3 staff </li><li>Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve service issues </li><li>Maintain accurate records of network incidents, changes, and resolutions </li><li>Support user account administration and access control </li><li>Assist with client device setup and connectivity issues </li><li>Monitor system logs and report authentication or hardware anomalies </li><li>Apply routine security patches under guidance from Tier 3 staff </li><li>Utilize network monitoring tools to identify performance or security issues </li><li>Maintain clear and professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders <br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills And Abilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Basic understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques </li><li>Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) </li><li>Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate appropriately </li><li>Strong organizational and documentation skills </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Exposure to network monitoring and ticketing systems </li><li>Interest in learning network automation and scripting <br><br></li></ul><strong>Education And Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) </li><li>2–3 years of experience in network support or administration </li><li>Experience working with network hardware and basic configuration tasks </li><li>Exposure to regulated or secure environments is a plus </li><li>Entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) preferred <br><br></li></ul><strong>Required<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to obtain a Public Trust.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy<br><br></strong>The company is an equal opportunity employer.
