Position Summary: One of Insight Global’s major clients are seeking a Branch Manager to oversee day to day operations of their Athens, GA branch. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing delivery and service routes on a daily basis for the associated Branch. The Branch manager will also be responsible for the inventory and upkeep of the facility. Additional day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Lead and coach Route Drivers to promote the safe and efficient delivery of related products, all while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Provide initial training with all new drivers, as well as ongoing training to existing drivers through in-cab rides, training videos and written tests.
  • Organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish daily route activities, including personnel, vehicles, equipment, and products.
  • Fully learns and comprehends company routing software (RMA)
  • Manages start- and end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety, and equipment issues.
  • Reviews weekly demand and volume of individual routes, determines potential gains from route adjustments, and recommends re-routes to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Monitors cleanliness of trucks and Fontis equipment as well as appearance of employees that are interacting with customers.
  • Sets and monitors productivity, service, and safety targets for each route and driver.
  • Assists with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
  • Runs open routes and service work, when needed, due to vacation, illness, injury, or termination.
  • Makes daily deliveries to customers on small service routes or installing new customers.
  • Ensures that drivers comply with physicals, drug screenings, and training required by regulatory agencies.
  • Actively involved in the screening, interviewing, and hiring process of new drivers.
  • Conducts Root Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and retraining.
  • Visits customer locations or sites to evaluate and resolve equipment installation or performance issues.
  • Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations on a daily basis (e.g., truck inspections, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following-up where appropriate.
  • Provides route operations and sales expertise to enhance the profitability and growth of the company.
  • Orders inventory on a weekly basis to ensure that product needed is available in warehouse.
  • Keeps the warehouse neat, clean and organized at all times.
  • Performs monthly inventory.
  • Ensures that truck from the plant is unloaded upon arrival and reloaded with empties in time for pick up.

 

Required Qualifications / skills:

 

  • Minimum of 4 years in logistics or transportation management position
  • Experienced tracking and reporting inventory levels and working with suppliers to materials purchasing
  • Willingness to be on-site in Marietta, GA for the first month of the role for in-person training purposes
