<strong>Summary: </strong>The Shipping and Receiving position involves reviewing shipping orders on a tablet, verifying documentation, picking orders, pulling products, placing items on pallets, and shrink-wrapping them for shipment.<br><br><strong>Work Hours: </strong>Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM<br><br><strong>Seniority Level: </strong>Entry Level<br><br><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Full-time<br><br><strong>Compensation: </strong>This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $20 to $21 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $47,031 and $67,305 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.<br><br><strong>To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials.</li><li>Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed.</li><li>Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.</li><li>Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit.</li><li>Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.</li><li>Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.</li><li>Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products.</li><li>Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.</li><li>Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.</li><li>Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.</li><li>Perform additional duties as required or requested.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:<br><br></strong><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>One (1) year of warehouse experience required.</li><li>Forklift experience is a plus.</li><li>Proficiency with a tablet or iPad.</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.<br><br></li></ul><strong>This Role Has The Following Physical Demands<br><br></strong><ul><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
