Role and Responsibilities:

  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently complete order fulfillment and warehousing duties.
  • Prepare, package and document outgoing orders (including but not limited to aligning shipments with correct shipping documents and coordinating with warehouse supervisor to execute pick-ups).
  • Stage loading and unloading areas.
  • Receive incoming shipments and place them in the respective locations.
  • Inspect, inventory, document, and store shipments.
  • Comprehend and utilize ISO9001 Inventory Management Systems and Safety Procedures, as well as FIFO inventory methodology.
  • Load material on and off skids, pallets, stands etc. Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks.
  • Package, box, and crate material in compliance with company standards.
  • Communicate with suppliers, receivers, drivers, and staff for smooth shipment.
  • Operate a computer to process reports, email instructions and forms, and maintain inventory of warehouse materials as required. Assist inventory counts and reconciliation monthly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall organization of the warehouse.
  • Exhibit and uphold East Wests company values.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Safety mindset and commitment to safe workplace practices
  • Proficient with inventory control systems
  • Ability to thoroughly understand all warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience and general computer skills
  • Forklift operation experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, bending and carrying.
  • Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
