In this role, you'll oversee warehouse operations, ensure accurate documentation, manage inventory, and foster a safe, efficient work environment. Are you familiar with ERP systems?POSITION SUMMARYThe Warehouse Supervisor will supervise the day-to-day activities of teams that perform warehouse functions at a distribution center, including shipping, receiving, and material movements. This position will maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and will be responsible for making decisions regarding receiving, picking, storing, shipping, and inventory control of goods.CORE FUNCTIONSTeam LeadershipSupervise, train, and motivate employees.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.Foster a positive and productive work environment.Act as the main point of contact for team-related issues and concerns.Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.Quality ControlEnsure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.Ensure all products are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage.Address and resolve any issues or escalate to shift management.Safety and CompliancePromote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.Handle incident reports as needed.Warehouse Material FlowsEnsure proper execution of all related warehouse processes including all inbound and outbound requirements; internal put-away, picking, shipping, and production replenishment; and any waste stream management including trash and recyclables.Ensure proper levels of warehouse staffing to support plant operations.Conduct layered process audits as directed and track and report results.Complete all required recording of warehouse movements and reporting as directed by MCL Site Manager.Act as a backup to warehouse associates in times of staff shortages or work overload.Inventory Control FlowsTrack, audit, and ensure accuracy of inventory throughout the warehouse. Monitor completeness, accuracy, and compliance during inventory transactions. Work with MCL Site Manager on E&O inventory and disposition.Execute cycle count schedule in compliance with corporate accounting objectives. Investigate, identify, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Audit process and paper flow errors to spot inconsistencies that lead to inaccuracy.Track productivity measures for all teams and update productivity reports as relevant. Process ImprovementContinuously identify areas for process improvement to increase operational efficiency.Work with management to implement new technologies or strategies to streamline warehouse operations.Track and report warehouse metrics (e.g., inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates).Reporting and CommunicationPrepare regular reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order status, and performance metrics.Communicate with other departments (such as purchasing, and customer service) to coordinate timely deliveries and resolve issues.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree required. 4+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment required.1+ year of experience leading a warehouse team required.Required Licenses or CertificationsOSHA compliant MHE certifications based on plant equipment with continued renewal as per regulations.Skills, Abilities, and KnowledgeMS Office, especially Excel. Working knowledge in order processing systems and warehouse management systems.Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively to groups of employees.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in standard and non-standard situations.Fluency in Spanish is required.
