Individuals assigned to the Machine Shop shall be able to use blueprints, drawings, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing files to program by using computer software such as Mastercam CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, and/or Fusion 360 for the Computerized Numerical Control machines and operate CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. Must also set up different types of equipment that are controlled by computers to accomplish goals with accuracy while maintaining high level of production rates. Operating the conventional milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and band saws as required to manufacture new products and/or repair or rework parts in accordance with engineering instructions and drawings.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities : <br><br></strong><strong>Operational/Functional Check:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Able to select and upload tools, set-up and run CNC Mills and Lathes for first article and productions. Work independently with all types of machines and control without supervision</li><li>Ability to identify and change cutting tools, inserts, drills, end mills, boring bars, grove tools, threading inserts, tool holders, collets, and hard and soft jaws</li><li>Know how to edit existing programs based on the results of the first article piece, updated drawings and/or engineering change order<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Inspection and Check:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Check their own work by using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, high gauge, pin gauge, thread gauges, inner mics, and optical comparators to maintain accuracy</li><li>Visually check and identify material types and surface finish of machined parts <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Troubleshoot System/Equipment:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Understand how the systems and machines operate to identify the source of issue when the machine is down</li><li>Ability to read the manuals, schematics, diagrams, manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting trees <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Rework and/or Repair Parts:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Follow Material Board Review (MRB) dispositioned instructions, identify the issues, and rework parts to align with drawing and/or DMS<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Material/Part Handling:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Lift, carry, and place assemblies and components on machine work surface, pallets, and other fixtures</li><li>Pushes/pulls carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and wheeled assembly fixtures around work areas</li><li>Uses overhead hoists and cranes to move heavy parts/assemblies</li><li>Uses forklift to move oversize/heavy components/assemblies over medium and long</li><li>Ability to perform rigging for aligning and securing the heavy parts, attaching loads, controlling the move<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications : <br><br></strong><strong>Service Orientation:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Passionate, effective demeanor in interactions with Guests and Cast Members </li><li>Receptive to special requests</li><li>Committed and reliable (reports for scheduled shifts)</li><li>Encouraging of other Cast Members working on your team</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Ability to complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality </li><li>Ability to address and build appropriate solutions <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Interpersonal Skills and Abilities:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Capable of easily explaining sophisticated issues and procedures to others</li><li>Excellent computer skills using MS Office or similar programs<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information : <br><br></strong><strong>SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION<br><br></strong>After clicking “<strong>Apply for this job</strong>” below, the employment application will open in a new window.
