This leader will be responsible for developing scalable engineering solutions for new facilities and network expansions through facility layout design, process optimization, automation strategy, simulation, capacity planning, and engineering standards. The role will partner closely with Operations, Project Execution, Finance, IT, and external solution providers to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and scalable distribution center designs that support business growth and operational excellence.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities :</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Network & Facility Design Strategy</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the design of new fulfillment centers, distribution centers, and warehouse expansions.</li><li>Develop facility layouts, storage strategies, material flow concepts, and process designs that maximize throughput, space utilization, labor efficiency, and flexibility.</li><li>Define long-term automation and warehouse design roadmaps aligned with business growth.</li><li>Evaluate network capacity and recommend expansion strategies to support future demand.</li><li>Develop engineering standards and design guidelines across all facilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Automation & Solution Design</strong></p><ul><li>Design automation solutions including AS/RS, conveyor systems, Goods-to-Person technologies, sortation systems, AGVs, AMRs, robotic solutions, and other material handling technologies.</li><li>Conduct automation feasibility studies and technology evaluations.</li><li>Develop equipment specifications and functional requirements for automation systems.</li><li>Collaborate with automation vendors to evaluate emerging technologies and innovative solutions.</li><li>Balance automation investments with operational requirements and financial objectives.</li></ul><p><strong>Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Design standardized warehouse processes for inbound, storage, picking, replenishment, packing, shipping, returns, and value-added services.</li><li>Optimize labor productivity through engineered standards and process improvements.</li><li>Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies to improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs while improving service levels and scalability.</li><li>Standardize best practices across multiple sites.</li></ul><p><strong>Capacity Planning & Engineering Analytics</strong></p><ul><li>Perform capacity modeling and forecasting for labor, storage, equipment, and throughput.</li><li>Develop engineering models to support peak planning and long-term growth.</li><li>Conduct simulation studies, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modeling for facility and process designs.</li><li>Utilize data analytics to identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Establish KPIs to measure facility performance and engineering effectiveness.</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with Operations, Project Execution, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Real Estate, and Procurement throughout project lifecycles.</li><li>Provide engineering guidance during project planning, design reviews, and implementation.</li><li>Present engineering recommendations and business cases to executive leadership.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and develop Industrial Engineering teams while fostering technical excellence and innovation.</li><li>Collaborate with external consultants, equipment suppliers, and system integrators during solution development.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial & Business Case Development</strong></p><ul><li>Develop capital investment business cases for facility and automation projects.</li><li>Conduct cost-benefit analyses and ROI evaluations for engineering initiatives.</li><li>Support annual capital planning and long-term investment strategies.</li><li>Evaluate labor savings, operational efficiencies, and financial impacts of proposed solutions.</li><li>Ensure engineering designs align with budget and strategic objectives.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Job Requirements :</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related field;
