YOUR MISSION

We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist to provide online digital consultations (both video and telephone) to our patients to conduct LTC reviews, medication reviews, SMRs and Minor Ailments Consultations.

As members of our sessional clinical team, our Clinical Pharmacist works alongside GPs, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to provide advice on best value and most effective treatments and services.

This work may include providing primary support to the practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries, clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement. You will manage some aspects of the quality and outcomes framework and local enhanced services. Therefore you must have experience in managing long-term conditions such as CVD, hypertension, respiratory and/or diabetes. Other duties will include but are not limited to patient-facing and remote medication review and the implementation of guidelines and formulary recommendations. You will also need to conduct Minor Ailments remote consultations with patients and prescribe accordingly.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Passionate about our vision and incredible mission
  • Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm)
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in primary care
  • Must be an independent prescriber
  • Previous experience of triage/telephone consultation is essential
  • Willing to work on weekends is a plus
  • Excellent communication & IT skills
  • Dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist who wants to work differently
