They will be responsible for acquiring net new customers and delivering technology solutions to those customers.<br/><br/>Amazon is looking for a Senior Tech Business Developer with a strong delivery record in the Sports & Entertainment sector with senior leadership experience, hunting enterprise customers, owning and executing business technology deals at national and global scale.<br/><br/>This role requires working with business teams across the company bringing the voice of the customer to our product and engineering teams, understanding and communicating critical business needs and how those translate into solutions that unlock scale. The individual must have experience building and negotiating complex technology contracts, partnering with finance and legal teams to structure long-term commitments and being the single threaded owner for customers adopting technology solutions. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on status, risks and sales pipeline.<br/><br/>Needed Skills and Abilities:<br/><br/>- Influencer: Innovative leader with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion<br/><br/>- Leader: Significant experience leading partner teams through trust, good judgment, decision making and data.<br/><br/>- Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end technology and operations projects, working through the many obstacles along the way<br/><br/>- Communicator: Ability to present to c-level executives, communicate expectations and requirements equally well with business and technology teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing your own data analysis as necessary<br/><br/>- Problem Solver: Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges<br/><br/>Roles & Responsibilities:<br/><br/>- Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it's in line with the business strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).<br/><br/>- Identify and engage key partners including retailers, ISVs and system integrators.<br/><br/>- Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners at the executive level.<br/><br/>- Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.<br/><br/>- Understand the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.<br/><br/>- Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the retail industry.<br/><br/>- Manage complex contract and financial negotiations and liaison with the legal and finance groups<br/><br/>- Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of emerging and nascent technologies.<br/><br/><b>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</b><br/><br/>- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience<br/><br/>- 6+ years of professional or military experience<br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree<br/><br/>- 5+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience<br/><br/>- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules<br/><br/><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b><br/><br/>- Experience negotiating software and services agreements<br/><br/>- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements<br/><br/>- MBA<br/><br/>- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations<br/><br/>The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
