Growing together.<br><br></strong>The Billing Coordinator / Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the Accounts Receivable operations for Optum's U.S.-based healthcare financial services. This position functions primarily as a coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal teams and external clients via email, complying to strict SLAs, while maintaining compliance with U.S. Protected Health Information (PHI) standards.<br><br>Our ideal candidate embodies honesty, integrity, and a solid work ethic - someone who consistently does the right thing, even when no one is watching, and takes pride in their commitment to excellence.<br><br>If you are located in Metro Manila, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. Hybrid to predominantly WFH, might be asked to report onsite for gatherings.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Coordinate billing activities for U.S. healthcare accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution</li><li>Manage moderate to high volumes of professional email correspondence with clients, payers, and internal stakeholders from multiple mailboxes</li><li>Monitor and track account statuses, escalate issues as needed, and support resolution efforts in collaboration with the AR team</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA and other U.S. healthcare privacy regulations</li><li>Assist in preparing minor reports</li><li>Support process improvements and contribute to team efficiency and service quality</li><li>Sales and Purchase Order Entry and Maintenance via SAP</li><li>Credit Memo Entry and Maintenance via SAP and Oracle</li><li>Managing Tickets through EnterpriseNow</li><li>Solid coordination and teamwork across various functions</li><li>Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least college graduate</li><li>Telecommuting Requirements:</li><ul><li>Ability to keep all company sensitive information secure</li><li>Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy</li><li>Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
