SUMMARY: The Marketing & Events Manager focuses on CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties’ marketing, communications, and event strategies to increase community awareness and engagement for the organization’s mission, this is done with strategic direction provided by the Development Director. This position is responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, managing digital marketing and communications, and aiding to create compelling content that highlights CASA’s impact and opportunities for involvement. Though this position reports directly to the Development Director, the Marketing & Events Manager collaborates closely with the President and CEO, the Volunteer Department, and Program Team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing & Communications
  • Assist the Development Director in creating and implementing an annual marketing and communications strategy to increase visibility, volunteer recruitment, and donor engagement.
  • Develop and maintain a quarterly and monthly content calendar to support organizational goals.
  • Create and manage content across communication channels including:
  • Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Website updates and maintenance
  • Email campaigns and newsletters
  • Print and digital marketing materials
  • Monitor analytics and track engagement trends across social media, email, and website platforms.
  • Create compelling stories highlighting CASA’s impact including volunteer experiences, youth success stories, and program outcomes.
  • Design or coordinate the development of marketing collateral while maintaining CASA’s brand standards and consistent messaging across all materials, including the:
  • Agency brochures
  • Event materials
  • Campaign materials
  • Develop marketing materials for fundraising appeals, volunteer recruitment campaigns, and community outreach initiatives that increase engagement and revenue.
  • Develop the annual report in collaboration with the President and CEO and Development Director
  • Manage email communication platforms and targeted outreach campaigns.
Event Planning & Fundraising Events
  • Plan and Coordinate CASA’s signature fundraising events in partnership with the Development Director, including:
  • Promise of Hope (Spring)
  • Hops & Barley (Fall)
  • Recruit and coordinate event committees and facilitate planning meetings.
  • Manage all event logistics including vendors, catering, rentals, and technology.
  • Work collaboratively to Identify and secure auction items and other donations to support fundraising revenue goals.
  • Coordinate event marketing including invitations, promotional campaigns, and event programs.
  • Track event information within the organization’s CRM and event platforms including budgets, sponsorships, ticket sales, and attendance.
  • Support the procurement of third-party fundraising and community partnership opportunities.
Community & Organizational Events
  • Work with internal teams to support CASA’s internal and relationship-building events, including:
  • Volunteer appreciation or engagement events
  • Youth and family-centered events
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Venue coordination and vendor management
  • Event logistics and timelines
  • Event collateral and promotional materials
  • Represent CASA at community events and networking opportunities when appropriate.
Reporting & Collaboration
  • Provide updates and reports during Development and Marketing team meetings.
  • Support reporting for the Development and Marketing Committee and CASA Board as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide updates related to marketing and development activities.
